Joakim, Sweden, 2009-07-23 10:54:30: More pictures of the lens can be seen here: http://www.minhembio.com/Joakim/236710/ Helio Silva, Brasil, 2009-04-19 02:30:07: Got mine this week. Number 5679 probably produced between 1984/89 according to Hanjoerg.
Hard to focus, but when you get it the lens delivers wonderful colors and impressionist bokeh. Loving the experience.
Using with Sony Alpha 350 Yu-Lin Chan, 2006-10-18 20:23:32: Another great lens from Zeiss. This is a very heavy lens, which weighs more than 1kg, and it does not have a tripod collar, which makes hand holding very difficult. However, the optically superior results is well worth the inconveniences. To the editors, here is the picture of the lens itself if you want to use it for the database:

This lens is not for medium format camera, is medium tele lens, use to all cameras with M42 mount or some cameras with M42 adaptor enve modern digital cameras such as Canon EOS digital cameras. I have the lens and its number is 2783. It's the MC lens. Hansjoerg During, 2005-12-27 18:48:47: Dear Sir,
According my knowledge. This Zeiss Sonnar lens 200mm f2.8 has been constructed only in a relative small quantity and all based on the same lens calculation dateing from 29.04.77.
All these lenses were produced with a M42 mount. However I did not undestand, if this lens is for a medium format cammera. If yes, is it possible to change the mount to put on an Pentacon 6 mount for example? Does somebody know about it?
The serial numbers from this lens are from 10.227.907 to 10.954.978 for the production from 1977 until 80.
At the begin of the 80's the serial numbers got reset to 1001 and there has been a production from 1984 to 1989 with serial numbers from 1001 to 6901.
Does somebody know which one are multicoated and which not?
I am used to manual analog photographie and like to use a Zeiss lens on a 35mm Camera as well as on a Medium format. I do this already with a Zeiss Sonnnar 300mm f4.0 with astonishing good results.
Thanks in advance, if someone can give me more information on the Zeiss 200mm f2.8
The s
