M42 uses its own dedicated server hosting by OVH (Paris, France). It uses Redhat Linux 7.2,
Apache HTTP server with PHP scripting and
MySQL database server.
The bandwidth is 10 megabytes and also dedicated.
Thumbnails are processed on the fly and saved if they do not exist yet or if the original picture has been modified.
The PHP resizing algorithm is very accurate in true color mode, the final picture is
100% quality JPEG format. The site accepts JPEG, JFIF and
JPG2000, in RGB or CMYK.
Equiped with an Intel Celeron Processor at 2,6 GHz, a 40GB IDE
hard disk, it is hosted in OVH datacenter in Paris: their network is made
of several Gbps connections, which allow them to offer us important bandwidth (up to 8Gbps). Hosting pricing per month (VAT not included)
